The dawn light on Friday morning down on the River Brathay was absolutely stunning, the soft colours before sunrise with the snow capped mountains were the type of conditions I was really hoping for as I was driving over to the Lakes.
I composed the shot so the reflections sat below the scene, doubling the colours in the sky and the frosted textures in the grass.
It was just a stunning moment before the sun came up to have this place to myself. Everything felt quiet and untouched - that fleeting moment when the winter light turns the whole landscape into something almost dreamlike.
One of the most memorable morning’s I’ve had out with the camera this year!
